She and Peter knew each other from Greenwich Village scene and came back in contact running around the streets of California. Let's just say it all started on set of "The Monkees." Her old pal, Peter Tork, invited her to the set and be an extra on the show and she accepted of course. However, how the affair started was a completely different story. Nurit started to wish she could take it all back, but then she wouldn't be blessed with this child. The guilt was eating her alive from anticipation of when Phyllis would find out that she was pregnant with her husband's child. Nurit wasn't one to hate anyway, but she envied Phyllis because she had Mike. No one could hate Phyllis, it just wasn't possible. His wife seemed so sweet and gentle, so fragile and easily breakable. He deserved to know, as it was his child.Įven though Nurit had been attracted to him when they first met on the set of "The Monkees", she felt guilty about everything she did with him because of his wife. Maybe she could get away with it until she started showing, that's when she would have to tell him. How was she going to tell him she was pregnant with his child? He might take it as a sick joke. Though he had been sleeping with many girls other than her, she was the one who got pregnant. What scandal you might ask? The scandal where Mike Nesmith cheated on his wife with her. Honestly, she didn't want the scandal to begin yet. The smallest of small bumps was forming, but it wasn't big enough to be noticeable. Gingerly, she lifted up her shirt to look at her stomach. If only she'd thought this years ago, but she thought she was too young to raise a child. This child would live and bloom, like every child should have a chance to do. She'd already aborted one child years ago, she wasn't going to kill this one. The thought of an abortion creeped up on her, but she shook her head, ridding the thought of it. She was indeed pregnant, whether she liked it or not. Despite her positivity, she knew deep down against all odds that it hadn't been just a mistake. How could this happen? Maybe it was all a mishap and she had just been wrong. She couldn't believe it, she just couldn't. Nurit Wilde stared out the kitchen window miserably.
